what made this story a good persnal essay is that the authour had detail throughout the story. Each paragragh had a topic sentence which let the reader know what the paragragh was going to be about. The essay presented steriotype by comparing and contrasting a indian boy from native india and and indian which in born in America. the story also presents diction, "non indian teacher" when instead the author could have used American teacher. The author ends by telling the reader, that it is good to read any types of books, magazines, anything which you read will help you improve your writting.

what made this story a good personal essay is that it included deail, for example when the author had chicken pox, it made the reader have a vivid image in their minds, it also made the reader ralate to the experience. What made this personal essay good is that the author added quotes from other people as the author was having a conversation with them. The reader had a sense that the reader was non-American because of the language she used in the narritive. The author included Puertorican slang which made her story interesting. She also compared and contrast a typical Puertorican skin color, and how she was diffrent.
